Shipment Event Updates
Keeps every load's status and milestones current.
What it does
Status arrives on its own schedule, not yours: a carrier emails "loaded, ETA Thursday," a portal flips a milestone, a driver's call transcript notes a delayed dock. Shipment Event Updates listens for those inbound signals and acts the moment one lands, no one chasing it down. It reads the update, ties it to the right load, and writes the current status and pickup, in-transit, and delivery milestones back to the TMS structured and timestamped, so the record moves the instant the freight does.
When it runs
It listens continuously to inbound status across email, portal messages, and call transcripts, and fires the moment a carrier reports an event or a milestone changes on an active load. This is the reactive side of tracking: it acts on what comes in, while Track and Trace goes out to pull status that has gone quiet.
Impact
Every load reflects where it actually is in near real time, so reps drop the manual re-keying that consumes their day and customers stop calling to ask. Each inbound event captured and synced without a touch lifts the share of offline shipment data actioned automatically, which is the capacity this stage reclaims. And because the TMS milestone history stays current as signals land, a quiet load surfaces against its plan instead of hiding behind a stale record until a claim arrives.
